About this tool
What this tool does
The audio trimmer lets the selected range be heard before export. Its waveform, seek control and optional loop make it easier to place start and end markers without repeatedly creating files.
How the result is produced
- The browser decodes the uploaded audio into an AudioBuffer and samples its first channel to draw waveform peaks.
- Preview playback uses the original local file and is constrained to the selected start and end times.
- Loop mode returns playback to the start marker whenever it reaches the end marker.
- Export copies the selected audio samples into an uncompressed WAV file without uploading the source.

- Removing silence from the start or end of a recording
- Extracting a short quote, sound effect or voice-note section
- Fine-tuning a clip by repeatedly previewing the same range
How to verify the result
- Listen through the selected range before creating the output.
- Play the generated WAV and confirm its beginning, ending and duration.
- Keep the original file until the exported clip has been checked in the destination app.
Known limitations
- Input support depends on the audio codecs the browser can decode.
- Waveform peaks use the first channel and are a navigation aid rather than a mastering display.
- WAV output is uncompressed and can be larger than MP3, AAC or Opus.
